Origin

Born in Lima, the heart of Peru, Alexander's upbringing was in a vibrant shanty town on the outskirts of the capital.

At age six, Alexander’s life took a turn when his mother moved to England to marry Ian Hammond, an Englishman an artisan craftsman, who would ignite a passion in Alexander for art and design.

Alexander enjoyed spending time in his father's workshop, an inspiring space where he absorbed the magic of hands shaping, restoring, and crafting. This apprenticeship became the gateway into jewellery design, laying the foundation for his creative journey.

Alexander graduated from The Kent Institute of Art and Design in 2003 , where his creativity flourished as he merged traditional expertise with his own unique vision. His early exposure to professional craftsmanship had trained a discerning eye and an innate grasp of artistic expression.

His talent earning him awards and bursaries from esteemed institutions such as the Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council Award and Goldsmiths' Hall and worshipful company of pewters.

Alexander earned a coveted place at the prestigious Goldsmiths' Fair, exhibiting for five consecutive years and attracting collectors, museums, and discerning clients.

Over the years he has focused on crafting bespoke jewellery, working closely with clients to bring their concepts to life with a touch of his own artistic flair.

The Kiss Collection represents a culmination of Alexander's journey, blending his father's artistic legacy with his own modern interpretation. Inspired by his father's 1970s bangle carving, Alexander infuses over twenty-five years of experience into each piece, marrying quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and playful elegance for a contemporary audience.
